Privacy Notice

This notice explains what personal information Catalyst collects, why we use it and your rights. Contact us at privacy@catalystsolver.com.

What we collect

Depending on what you use, we process:

Discord IDs, connected-account names, school names and information you provide to the bot or support.
Login details supplied for password login.
Cookies, tokens and signed-in sessions needed to access connected accounts.
Homework tasks, questions, responses, deadlines and results.
Schedules, job histories, progress and technical error records.
Optional referral or giveaway participation information.

Information comes from you, Discord, connected platforms and the operation of the Service. Catalyst is free during early access and does not currently require payment information.

Why we use it

We use information to connect accounts, run requested jobs, process questions, submit answers, provide updates and support, investigate errors, maintain security, prevent misuse, administer optional promotions and meet legal obligations.

Our proposed lawful bases are contractual necessity for processing necessary to provide services to a contracting individual; legitimate interests in providing requested account functionality, security, support and proportionate service maintenance where those interests are not overridden by individuals’ rights; and legal obligation where a specific law requires processing. Where consent is the appropriate basis for an optional feature, we request it separately.

Necessary account information is required to operate account-based features. Without a working connection, Catalyst cannot access that account’s homework. We do not treat acceptance of this notice as blanket consent.

Password login retains and uses supplied login details for authorised sign-in.

Manual login lets you sign in through the connection page without sending Catalyst your password.

Both methods may retain sessions that grant account access without entering the password again. Do not share credentials, verification codes or session tokens through support messages.

Who receives information

We do not sell personal information.

We share information with service providers where needed to operate Catalyst, including messaging, email, hosting and AI-processing providers, and with connected platforms to perform the actions you authorise. Question content and relevant task context may be processed by external AI providers.

We may also disclose information where legally required. Some providers may process information outside the UK.

Security

Bot records and saved session backups are encrypted at rest. Other service files require separate protection. Encryption does not prevent the server from accessing information needed to operate authorised jobs. No system is completely secure.

How long we keep information

We retain information needed to maintain your account while it remains open. Credentials and sessions are retained for the connections you ask us to maintain. Job histories support your account’s status and troubleshooting. Support and technical records are retained while needed to handle the relevant request, investigate a problem or meet a legal obligation.

We propose periodic reviews to delete or anonymise information no longer needed. Account data is not retained indefinitely merely because it might be useful later.

You may request account deletion at privacy@catalystsolver.com. We will assess the request and explain any information we must retain and why. Hiding a job or disconnecting an account does not automatically erase browser profiles, logs, backups or every associated record.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, and object to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it. Rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions.

Email privacy@catalystsolver.com. We may need proportionate identity verification. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Cookies and website technology

Cookies and similar storage maintain signed-in sessions and control account connections. Website service providers also process technical information needed to deliver the website. The current landing page has no Catalyst-added advertising or analytics script.

Changes

We will update this notice when practices change and bring significant changes to users’ attention before introducing materially different uses. Continued use does not itself provide consent for processing that requires separate consent.
